Busy couple of weeks!!

Well, it's been a little bit since I have updated, so let's see what all has happened!! We went back to the doctor after our last round of antibiotics and 2 chiropractor visits and we got good news!! They are healing!!!! Not perfect, but healing. We are going to see an ENT doc just for a consult, and continue with the chiropractor, but we were elated. No surgery needed at this point.

Soph is crawling so much more and better now. She is all over the place and giving the dogs a run for their money. She is saying MAMA and PAPA with some purpose now and has four teeth and working on another.

We are leaving for Vail on Sun and will be there for a week! Jayson has a conference and Soph and I will be enjoying the hotel room and fun stuff to do in Vail (Snow!!). Hoping to go sledding with Soph and I am sure we will get great pics and post them when we can.

We have been very busy here in the Garrels house. I haven't been to Stroller Strides in what seems like forever. I did go to a meet-up today and got to talk with the girls and Sophia played with the kiddos. We enjoyed every moment of it even though we were late.

9 Month checkup!!

Well, a little update on Sophia's stats!! She is 22lbs and 29in! She has her two top teeth and I think another top tooth is on its way in too. She is finally crawling more. She still will not come to me or follow me around, but she goes to her toys. She is eating more and more table food. The only bad report we got at the doctor was another ear infection and another round of antibiotics. YUCK!! We go back to the doctor on Wed to see if the infection is clearing up. If not, we will do three days of antibiotic shots and if that doesn't work an ENT consult may be in our future. We are trying a different approach along with the medicine. We have taken Soph to a Chiropractor and hoping it will help. I will let you know what we find out. We had a uneventful Valentines Day. Jayson made a wonderful dinner and Sophia was as sweet as ever. Hope all is well with all of our friends and we look forward to seeing you all soon!!!

Boring Weekend!!

Well, the weekend was uneventful! Jayson and I took Sophia to our neighbors house and went to a movie for the first time in 9months!!! We saw "Taken"!! Loved it!! However, Sophia will never go to Europe by herself!!! She seemed to have a good time with Steph, so maybe we will do it again soon. When we got home, Sophia was in a good mood and played ball with us!! She would throw the ball to me then I would throw it to Jayson and so on. She is getting so grown up. She also ate waffles for the first time Sat morning and loved them. We go to the doctor on Wed for her 9month check up so I will let you know the stats when I get them!!!

Our First Blog!!!!

Hello Everyone!! This blog is intended to help keep people updated on the ins and outs of Sophia's adventures while growing up. I am creating this blog because I admitted today at our playgroup that I am kind of a blog stalker (I would read others blogs and not have one of my own). now I do so I can let go of the crazy guilt. Anyway...

So, as I said we went to playgroup today after Stroller Strides class and Sophia slept the whole time! We still had fun! We always do when we go to Lisa P's house and hang out with our Stroller Strides friends. Sophia is not really crawling the traditional way right now, but she is getting around the room fairly good. We look forward to our new adventures and blogging them. I hope this keeps people updated!!
